How to plan your website

Written by

Before creating and uploading a website, it is important to take the time to plan exactly what is needed in the website. Thoroughly considering the audience or target market, as well as defining the purpose and deciding what content will be developed are extremely important. Media-Slave has years of experience in web design and can guide you through this process. We use the processes and headings ourselves to run your project. We also make this information available to you as the project and tasks progresses. The complete project can be tracked with notes, files and timelines online at any time. We make sure that our web design and web hosting clients know exactly how their project is progressing.

The Importance of having a website

Written by

I had to resurrec this article. There are a number of reasons of why having a website in today's age is very important. Firstly it is an obvious means of advertising yourself and your services more comprehensively. Secondly it is a great way of bettering your sales by providing an online service no matter what business you run. Finally having a website can help keep a clientèle by keeping them updated on what's going on in the business at any time.

Free Websites, What’s the score?

Written by

The likes of Weebly and Wix claim to help people and businesses get online by giving them an “online presence”. On the face of it, this looks like a really good idea but you need to ask yourself why? We are now living in the 21st century at a time of major recession and financial instability. This has resulted in more and more people (and businesses) being more scrupulous and impatient about how they interact with their peers, family and how they run their day-to-day lives. Why go out if I can get a better deal online, have access to entertainment 24/7 and speak with my family for nothing via facebook at 2am?

The journey many people take when writing a blog, be it personal or for business, if often the same. You start full of energy and beans, ideas flowing as easily as water down a stream. Then the ideas start getting a little harder to come by and you find that you are publishing less and less, until, BAM!!! You haven’t written anything in 3 weeks and you have no idea what to write. Blog post ideas don’t have to come naturally or wait for you to be inspired, you can work on them and find them in a methodical manner. Here is how.

Windows hosting

Written by

Windows web hosting has been added to our product range to give our customers even more choice when deciding on a hosting platform for their website. Whilst Linux still dominates the market, there are a significant number of websites that use Microsoft technology to power their sites, and we felt it important that our customers should be able to have the option of both platforms when choosing their hosting package.

Work on Clyde Coast Tourism Starts today

Written by

Today we are starting to build ClydeCoastTourism.co.uk. A site built on Joomla 2.5 and Virtuemart 2. Clyde Coast Tourism is a local tour and tourism company promoting tours. Tonight is #ScotlandHour and we wish to have a working model of the basic site and temporary branding in place.

This is a notification to all Web Hosting Scotland and Media-Slave Web Hosting Clients. To all that have noticed an added captcha form before reaching their Joomla, Wordpress or other cms admin panel logins, please note this is an added layer of security. It is a measure we have to take thanks to too many idiots online who still believe attacking general sites is a good way to spend their time. The notification does not mean your site has been attacked or that any of your material is at risk, this is just a precaution.
